Research Engine “Bio-process” has developed mass-production technologies using cell factories. To optimize the productivity, optimized condition under large culture scale should be required. Pre-treated biomass contains lignin and fermentation inhibitor, and high density of solid biomass, the control of fermentation process is one of the key factors of efficient fermentation. This research engine enables to optimize the large scale fermentation as well as total process.

Research Engine “Purification and Chemical Process” has developed innovative purification process from fermented culture using membrane technology. We corroborated with the Center for Membrane and Film Technology in Kobe University, which is the first center in Japan as the Membrane Technology Hub, to develop the tailor-made membrane specialized for bioproduction and establish integrated membrane technology.
